Choicer Voicer Voice Packs & Dub Packs
A Voice Pack contains the lines you imitate. A Dub Pack adds video and timing for a scene. This guide explains the official desktop file workflow; the browser player on GET YOKED starts with an included five-clip tutorial.
Set up a Voice Pack on desktop
Put a folder of WAV, MP3, or OGG clips inside packs_voice. Each clip must be under 60 seconds. The creator recommends normalizing volume because weak waveforms make scoring harder. The official Voice Pack documentation covers accepted files and metadata.
Here is an illustrative pack made from your own recordings. These filenames are examples, not extra assets included with the browser game:

Use Extras → Edit Voice Packs & Clip Metadata to add captions, images, tags, and pack details. Start with one playable clip before adding optional metadata. That gives you a working baseline if a later change causes trouble.
What a Dub Pack needs
For desktop Dub Mode, include an OGV video named dub_video and sample timestamps in the metadata editor. The pack still lives in packs_voice. You can retake performances; their dubbed playback is revealed after the session. Consult the official Dub Pack guide for the complete format.
Our suggested first test is a short scene you recorded yourself with two clearly separated lines. Give each exported line a numbered filename, enter its starting time, and complete a whole session. Listen for an early or late entrance before building a much longer scene.
Why is a pack missing or not working?

| One clip fails | Open that audio file in a normal player, then compare its format and length with the documented requirements. |
| Dub video is missing | Verify the OGV format and required filename. Renaming an MP4 extension does not convert the video. |
| Dub timing is off | Compare the first line’s timestamp with its actual position in the video. Correct that one line and replay before adjusting everything. |
| Browser import differs | A desktop folder path is not a browser upload instruction. Use the included tutorial to check the browser game, and use desktop for the documented folder workflow. |
Build a small pack you can actually practice
Record three contrasting prompts: a calm greeting, an uncertain question, and an excited reaction. Keep the words short enough to remember after one listen. On the first pass, focus on pauses. On the second, change pitch. On the third, add the mood while keeping a comfortable volume.
Write a caption for each prompt, then ask whether someone who has never heard the line could follow it. Add more clips only after those first three play correctly. This makes the pack easier to test and keeps a practice session focused.
If the reference plays but your take stays silent, follow the microphone troubleshooting guide. Changing the pack will not resolve a blocked recording permission.
